I've been tagged by Susan at Penless Writer http://penlesswriter.blogspot.com/.
I'm to answer the following 8 questions made up by Susan, make up 8 questions of my own, and then tag 8 of you to answer my questions. So here I go....
#1. If money were no object what would you like to do that you've never been able to do or have always wanted to do? I would open a place called 2nd Chance Ministries. I would help women get ready for the work place. It would have a used book store and a place for their children to come while the women were in classes. The children would have puppet shows or the story lady would read to them.
#2. If you could have "do overs" what is the 1 thing you would never do again? And why? I would never have done drugs or drank when I was young. It was such a waste of time. Guess that's why the call it getting wasted, huh?
#3. If you could have "do overs" what is the 1 thing you would want to be absolutely, positively sure you did again? And why? Marry my husband. First of all, because he taught be about the Lord and secondly, I never knew love like this ever existed before.
#4 What is the worst fear? That is a hard one. Technically, I consider myself fairly fearless but I guess secretly I fear loosing my family.
#5. What is your greatest joy? No doubt, loving and serving my Lord... my family is a very close second.
#6. What is your life verse, or if you don't have one, your favorite Bible verse?
#7. What church do you attend? And why? If you do not attend a church, why not? Right now, First Assembly of God in Lonoke, because that is where our son and grandsons attend. It is a fairly new church and is growing and they have no fear of ministering to the community at large. Their motto: Every Soul Matters...how can you NOT want to be a part of something like that?
#8. If you knew you only have 1 year to live, what is the first thing you would do? Now that really is a hard one. I guess I would make sure the people I love knew with out a doubt that I loved them.
Now for my eight questions....
1. What do you think your greatest personality trait is and how do you use it best?
2. What brings you the greatest joy?
3. Who has been the biggest influence on your life and why?
4. What is your life motto?
5. What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
6. If you had to sacrifice one thing in order to serve the Lord, would you and what would that be?
7. What is your favorite praise and worship or old-time gospel song.
8. If you could change one thing either in your community or the world at large what would it be? [World Peace does not count Ms. Beauty Pageant Contestant!]

Thanks for playing along. I loved your answers, especially #1. I have always wanted to open a used Christian Book store and Sandwich/Soup shoppe. With a few tables where you could read, eat or visit with friends.
ReplyDeleteYour questions are great. I'd love to follow along and see how they answer them.
Oh wow, those are quite the questions. I'm going to need to think on this, but I'll be sure to do it! Thanks for including me.
ReplyDeleteWill try to get to this tonight... I am at my oldest daughter's home this week taking care of her 3 children while she and her husband are out west!
ReplyDelete1. Mama says I have the unique gift to discern and give wise counsel. I pray that I do that with a tender caring heart.
ReplyDelete2. Listening to mama sing & praise God when I sit next to her in church. One word really answers that question - mama.
3. LOL !! Mama and my mother.
4. "Choices in life are always simple, but not always easy." (My blog statement)
5. Matthew 20:28 - Christ came first to serve then then die for us. We get that confused - we forget that He wants us to serve.
6. ANYTHING, He would ask me to give him.
7. "It is Well with my Soul."
8. Provide to anyone what they needed to make sure they were headed in the right direction. They would have to choose and work at it. Teach them to fish rather than give them fish.
Thanks for thinking of me - I'm in the midst of a series on our trip, so I'll answer here:
ReplyDelete1. My outgoing-ness (which sometimes is also my biggest problem) I think I make people feel more at ease.
2. Watching my grandgirls develop into such interesting people.
3. My mom was so patient with 5 kids growing up in a parsonage with very little in the way of financial ease!
4. It's not spiritual in any sense of the word, but all I can think of right now is "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"
5. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Because it is a promise I have to cling to every day of my crazy life.
6. Wow, tough question. I have to think about that one a bit more.
7. Just like above, It Is Well With My Soul or "Great Is Thy Faithfulness. There are SO many.
8. Drugs and alcohol addiction.
Just read your answers, to your own questions, on your comment on Ginger's blog. Loved, loved, loved your questions and your answers!!!! Thanks for being not only a great blog friend, but more important, my PRAYER PARTNER.
